Group Lessons

Group lessons:

Kvitfjell ski school offers a variety of group lessons for everyone, from beginner to expert, and offer you the chance to improve you skiing in the company of like-minded individuals. 
Kvitfjell ski school offers 4-day group lessons in both alpine skiing and snowboarding. 

Jøkul Mini:
A beginner course for children aged between 3 and 4 years old where emphasis is placed on getting used to the equipment and the basics of skiing such as: braking stopping and turning on the nursery slope. The underlying principle in these lessons is that skiing should be fun.
At the end of the three-day course children should be able to take the button lift on their own. 
No pervious experience is required though children should be able to be away from their parents for an hour or so each day. 
Meeting point: Lift I Kvitfjell West or Lift G (Mid-station) Kvitfjell East.   

Jøkul Green
Beginner course for children aged between 5 and 8 years old where emphasis is placed on getting used to the equipment and the basics of skiing such as: braking stopping and turning on the nursery slope. The underlying principle in these lessons is that skiing should be fun.
The main aim of the course is to get children using the button lift as quickly as possible and have them skiing the nursery slope with confidence. 
No previous experience is required but children should be able to be away from their parents for the duration of the lesson. 
Meeting point: Lift I Kvitfjell West or Lift G (Mid-station) Kvitfjell East.  

Jøkul Blue
Game based lessons for children aged between 5 and 8 years old who have skied a little before. Here children will improve on their turning, braking and stopping on the nursery slope as well as trying some of the other slopes over the course of the week.
Some experience required: children should be able to turn, brake and stop as well as take the button lift on their own. 
Meeting point: Lift I Kvitfjell west.   

Jøkul red:
An advanced course for children aged between 5 and 8 years old. Here children will get the opportunity to test their skiing abilities on a number of different slopes including some light off-piste skiing.  The main aim of this course is to improve children’s awareness, safety and rhythm whilst out skiing, as well as showing how fun skiing with friends can be.  
Some previous experience required: Children should be able to ski on a number of slopes in a controlled manner as well as being able to take the T-bar on their own.
Meeting point: Lift I Kvitfjell West. 
 
Children level 1 Green:
Beginner course for children aged between 9 and 15 years old. Here we start with the basics: turning, braking and stopping on the easy slopes. Once students feel comfortable enough, they can progress to other slopes in the area. 
No previous experience required. 
Meeting point: Lift I Kvitfjell West or Lift G (Mid-station) Kvitfjell East.

Children level 2 Blue:
Intermediate course for children aged between 9 and 15 years old who have some experience on skis and can turn, brake and stop.  On this course, emphasis is placed on becoming a more confident, safer skier.
 The main aim here is for children to be able to ski longer slopes as well as being able to take the t-bar and chairlift. 
Some previous experience is required. Children should be able to turn, brake and stop as well as being able to ride the button lift on their own.
Meeting point: lift I Kvitfjell West. 
 
Children Level 3 Red:
An advanced course for children aged between 9 and 15 years old. The course is designed for children who have had a lot of experience on skis and who want to improve their skills on a variety of slopes and terrain. This course includes a lot of skiing time both on and off piste.
Children looking to enroll on this course should be able to ski in a comfortable and controlled manner on all slopes and not be afraid to challenge themselves.

Adult Level 1 Green:
Beginner course for those looking to learn the basics of skiing. The course focusses on becoming familiar with and use of the equipment. Students will learn the basic movements such as snow ploughing, braking, and stopping as well as using the ski lifts. 
No previous experience is required. 
Meeting point: Lift I, Kvitfjell west or Lift G, Kvitfjell East.

Adult: level 2 Blue:
For those looking to take their skiing to the next level. Here the focus is on parallel turns and getting the skis on to their edges for maximum performance and control.
Skiers looking to enroll on this course must be able to turn and stop on green slopes as well as being able to take the lift on their own.  
Meeting point: Lift I, Kvitfjell west. 

Adult: level 3 red:
Advanced course for those looking for a little more speed. Here the focus is on technique, safety and flow irrespective of which slope you are skiing on. 
Skiers who wish to enroll on this course must be able to parallel turn confidently at speed on some of the more difficult slopes. 
Meeting point: Lift I, Kvitfjell West.  

Snowboarding:
Children level 1 (90 mins)
This course is aimed at those wanting to try snowboarding for the first time. The course focuses on the basics of turning, balance, as well as braking and stopping. You will also learn how to take the lift on your own. 
Meeting point: Lift I, Kvitfjell West or Lift G Kvitfjell East. 

Children level 2 (90 mins) 
This course is designed for those who have snowboarded before and can turn, stop and regulate their speed. During the course our instructors will use a number or exercises designed to improve turning as well as maneuvering the board on steeper slopes.
Meeting point: Lift I Kvitfjell West or Lift G Kvitfjell East.
