Kvitfjell - the winter paradise

Kvitfjell is located 45 minutes north of Lillehammer, the winter paradise for ski-enthusiasts. Here you have challenges and joy for every level: either you want to try the olympic slope or try skiing for the first time in one of our family areas.   

Winter Paradise

Kvitfjell is a complete and snow secure ski resort with challenges for skiers on every level. Kvitfjell is one of the first alpine resorts to open in Norway and one of the last to end the season at the end of April. Kvitfjell was chosen as of the best alpine resorts in the country, by the biggest newspaper in Norway. Over 100 snow cannons and the same crew that prepares the slopes for World Cup, makes sure you will get the perfect conditions while skiing.  

KIDS Kvitfjell - Junior skipatrole

Kvitfjell is for the kids. They can play and learn at the same time as a member of Junior skipatrole and in our to KIDS areas. The Junior Skipatrole keeps an eye on things that happens in the resort. The kids will get their own west, walki-talkie, stickers and more. The KIDS area on Vestsiden has a kids lift and new bbq cabins. KIDS World Cup and KIDS park.

Afterski and Dining

While skiing in Kvitfjell you have many options throughout the slopes for dining and afterski. Choose between Tyrihans, several small wooden houses built in traditional Norwegian style, offering different types of food. Koia, which gives you simple but good food, such as gourmet sausages and the perfect atmosphere for afterski. Plaza with it's tasty menu or the Ski Inn Diner with a lunchmenu perfect for skiiers. In the middle of the slopes you have the characteristic hotel GudbrandsGard with swimmingpool, spa, terrace with a gorgeous view over the slopes and the valley of Gudbrandsdalen, and the restaurant Prepperiet who serves great food made from local ingredients.  

Service and Cross-Country Skiing 

From the top of Kvitfjell the cross-country trails is spread out over the mountain from east to west. Both mountain sides has its own skirental and sportshop. The skischool has instructors that can teach you skiing techniques on every level, from the very beginner to advanced.
