Skitrain to Kvitfjell

Fasten your skis right by the station and slide straight to the slopes. From December 19th, you can take the train to Olympic Express chairlift. Whether you are on a daytrip or planning an overnight-stay the train is a comfortable and quick alternative to get to Kvitfjell.
From the chairlifts you have the possibility to ski in and ski out to/from GudbrandsGard Hotel and the majority of cabins on the Middle station and on the west side of Kvitfjell.

Timetable Oslo via Oslo Airport to Kvitfjell
The morning train operates Oslo-Oslo Airport-Kvitfjell every day with departure from Oslo 08:07am and arrival in Kvitfjell 10:51am. The afternoon train runs every day (except Saturday) from Kvitfjell at 06:02pm and arrives in Oslo at 08:42pm. On Saturdays you can take the train from Kvitfjell Station 07:24pm, or take the Kvitfjell-bus to Lillehammer and jump on the train from there. Read about the Kvitfjell Bus here.

Wait for the train in Kvitfjell Station or Middle station. Until the 31st of January the slopes are open until 03.30pm and from 01st of February until 04.00pm. Except Fridays and Saturdays between 13.th of February and 18th of April, in addition to every day in week 8 and during Easter, when the lifts close at 4.30pm. Kvitfjell Station at the bottom of the slopes will be open but there is no staff in your service. We point out that skiing after closing hours is not allowed.

After opening hours it is possible to take a taxi down to the Kvitfjell Station.
Taxi from the Middle Station to the Kvitfjell Station or Ringebu costs approximately NOK 200,-. We recommend to order a Taxi in advance: tel 61280710

Have a drink while you are waiting!
If you wish to wait for the train in the Middle Station you have several offers to choose from. In the Middle Station you will find on of the finest
mountain hotels in Norway - GudbrandsGard Hotel. There you can get access to the hotel's swimming pool and spa, or you can enjoy refreshments in one of the hotel's intimate lounges. Koia (afterski) is open on Fridays and Saturdays to 6.00 pm.
